We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year from all the staff at Gorebridge Primary School
This year, the Christmas service will be held at Gorebridge Parish Church on Friday 23rd December at 10am. As usual all parents, carers and friend of Gorebridge Primary School are welcome to join us.
Please also be reminded that the school closes at 12 noon for all the pupils on Friday 23rd December and school will resume at 8:50am on Monday 9th January 2017.
A huge thank you to all who made donations at the school nativity and the carol singing today at Scotmid. We managed to raise £52 which will be donated to the Local Foodbank.
At this time of year all donations are greatly appreciated at The Foodbank so thank you very much to all who donated.
Our Primary 1 and Primary 2 children enjoyed visiting Newbyres Care home on Monday and our local Scotmid today to do some carol singing for people in our community. A big thank you to both for allowing our children to visit – pictures can be viewed below on our Twitter Feed.

Hibernian Fooball Club “Persevered Tour”
On the 8th November Hibernian Community Foundation paid a visit to our school as part of their Persevered Tour. The purpose of their visit was to let the children watch a short DVD about Their Scottish Cup Journey and to delivery an important message….. To persevere with your dreams/goals and anything possible!
All the children enjoyed having the Scottish Cup in the school and getting the opportunity to have their photographs taken with the famous cup. The photographs can now be viewed on the Hibernian Official Website which can be found by following the link below:
