Seesaw App

Seesaw

All pupils in Gorebridge are going to start using an app called ‘Seesaw’ where children can upload examples of their work to create an online portfolio. The children scan a QR code which takes them straight to a class login. This code is kept within the class so nobody else can see what they have uploaded. The class take a photo of a piece of work they have done throughout the week and add a caption to describe what the work is and why they are proud of it. The class can all see each other’s work that they have uploaded.

Parents can also login to see their children’s portfolio. When a parent logs in using the QR code they can only access their own child’s work for security reasons. Parents can ‘like’ and comment on their child’s work as well as see the progress they are making in their learning. The QR code for your child’s portfolio has been sent home, to access their work you need to:

  1. Download the Seesaw Family app which is free
  2. Choose the option ‘create family account’
  3. Scan the QR code
  4. Create your own account

If you have any questions regarding this please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we hope you enjoy seeing your child’s work each week!
